The Hadzabe
These people are found on the shores of Lake Eyasi in Northern Tanzania. Lake Eyasi is located with the great rift valley of Central Tanzania. The people in this community are really very reserved people and that’s why their language is endangered. Their language is unique as it has a click sound in it. This group of people are very good hunters. They have very good techniques and skills. They are descendants of Tanzania’s original hunter-gatherer population and are likely to have occupied their territory for thousands of years with relatively little change to their way of life. Their diet basically depends on berries, honey and the prey they get from hunting. The group of people is very nomadic and don’t live in one place and built temporary huts.
They have one of the endangered languages of East Africa. There are however means to try and save this language. The people that speak this language are called the Hadza people. The language is being taught to the young ones of the community in this area. The people is this community are so isolated and this is one of the reasons why the language has been threatened to extinction as there have been little chances of allowing the language to be exported to the people out of the community. The people are located in Northern Tanzania in the Lake Eyasi shores.
The Datoga
These people also live around the shores of the Lake Eyasi and they have the same Lifestyle like the Hadza people. They are hunters and fruit collectors. They also engage in some agriculture.
