Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, our company representative will welcome you and transfer you to Arusha. Arusha is the main starting point for safaris in northern Tanzania. After check in at your hotel, you will relax, have dinner, and spend the night as you prepare for the safari.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is known for its tree climbing lions and rich birdlife around the lake shores. You will go on a game drive to look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, and many birds.
Later in the day, enjoy a short cultural walk in Mto wa Mbu village. This visit allows you to see local life, food, and small markets. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 3 to 4: Serengeti National Park Exploration
After a morning game drive in Lake Manyara, continue to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is famous for its open plains and large wildlife numbers. Over the next two days, you will enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in different areas of the park.
You may see lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, black rhinos, cheetahs, wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and many bird species. During the migration season, there is a chance to see large herds of wildebeests moving across the plains. An optional hot air balloon safari is available and should be booked in advance. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or camp inside the park.
Day 5: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
After breakfast, leave Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the areas outside the crater. The views of the highlands and wildlife in this area are rewarding. Later, drive to your lodge, relax, have dinner, and overnight.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration to Tarangire National Park
Early breakfast, then descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater floor is home to many animals including lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, hippos, zebras, wildebeests, and several bird species. After the game drive and lunch, exit the crater and drive to Tarangire National Park. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 7: Explore Tarangire National Park
Spend the full day in Tarangire National Park. The park is known for large herds of elephants and tall baobab trees. Morning and afternoon game drives give you a chance to see elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, antelopes, and many birds. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and rest.
Day 8 to 9: Zanzibar Beach Holiday
After breakfast, drive back to Arusha for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival, transfer to your beach resort. These days are free for relaxation on white sand beaches. Optional activities include snorkeling, swimming, boat trips, or a short tour of Stone Town. Otherwise, enjoy the ocean breeze and quiet time at the beach.
Day 10: Flight Back Home
