Detailed Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania. Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro international airport, our company representative will pick you up and drive you to Arusha city to check in at your hotel where you will have dinner and spend the night.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Manyara National Park
Transfer from Arusha city to Lake Manyara national park. Go on a game drive in the park to spot the famous but rare tree climbing lions among other animals that inhabit the park. Drive to the Lake to spot the wildlife and birdlife that inhabit its shores.
Add a cultural experience to your adventure by taking a walk to the Mto wa Mbu village.
Day 3-4: Serengeti National Park Exploration
The mother of all wilderness in Tanzania. After a morning game drive in Lake Manyara, you will depart to Serengeti national park. The endless plains of Serengeti boost in abundance of different bird and animal species. Explore the different areas at different times of the day for a full game viewing experience. Expect to see the iconic lion, elephant, leopard, black rhino and buffalo (the big five) and a chance to witness the great migration.
Take on a hot air balloon safari for a different view of the park. Optional activity to be booked in advance.
Day 5: To Ngorongoro Conservation Area
A transfer to Ngorongoro from Serengeti. Enjoy an afternoon game drive around the conservation areas outside of the crater. Drive to your safari lodge for a relaxed leisure evening.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration to Tarangire National Park
The world’s largest volcanic caldera hosts a rich abundance of animals and birdlife in different environments at its floor. A game drive in the crater will be a memorable one with a guarantee of seeing the big five animals, the big cats, other animals and a variety of bird species.
Exit the crater, drive back to your lodge for lunch, after which you will transfer to Tarangire national park.
Day 7: Explore Tarangire National Park
Home to the biggest elephant herds you will ever see. Get on with morning and afternoon game drives in Tarangire national park for a full experience. Other animals to spot include buffalos, antelopes, cheetahs, lions and more accompanied by the birds. Retire to your safari and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 8-9: Beach holiday in Zanzibar
You will be driven to Arusha for your connecting flight to Zanzibar, the paradise. After all the moving up and down, driving through the wilderness, it is time to slow down and relax at the white sand beaches of Zanzibar. Optional activities are available for your beach holiday if you are up to it, otherwise enjoy the Indian ocean breeze and the white sand.
Day 10: Flight back home
We come to the end of your 10-day safari in Tanzania. You will be dropped at the airport for your home bound flight.
