Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most popular and most visited protected wildlife areas in Tanzania. It is located in the northern part of the country. The area is well known for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world. It covers about 260 square kilometers and supports more than 25,000 animals within this small area.
